DISPATCH UPDATE
WE ARE STILL OPEN AND DISPATCHING ORDERS SAME DAY IF PAID FOR BEFORE 3PM MON-FRI.
WE ARE NOW BEYOND THE LAST POSTING DATES FOR BOTH TRACKED 48 AND TRACKED 24 SO ANY ORDER PLACED AT THIS STAGE MAY ARRIVE AFTER CHRISTMAS.
As you may be aware Royal Mail workers are holding a series of strikes targeting Black Friday and Christmas Deliveries. 4 days of strikes were held in late November and a further 6 days of strike action in December will cause significant delays to parcel deliveries.
The strike dates for December are:
Friday 9th December
Sunday 11th December
Wednesday 14th December
Thursday 15th December
Friday 23rd December
Saturday 24th December
We have seen the most significant delays on Tracked 48 parcels - this is the business equivalent of 2nd class and the service we use for our free delivery option. We strongly advise against using the free delivery option for orders placed after 3PM on 12th December as there is a chance they may not arrive in time. Please see below for our free and reduced postal upgrade offers.
For deliveries sent by Tracked 24 we are seeing most of them arrive in 1-4 working days as they are being prioritised by Royal Mail over Tracked 48 / 2nd class items.
We continue to operate 7 days a week and dispatch all parcels same or next working day
Please note that due to the strikes the usual Special Delivery next day guarantee is suspended. For this reason we have temporarily removed Special Delivery as a postage option.
