The 16-year-old girl Moana lives on the paradise islands in the South Pacific as the daughter of the chief Tui. Her father has decreed that nobody is allowed to take the boat out over the reef anymore. But when danger threatens her island, Moana sets sail with the rooster Hei Hei and the pot-bellied pig Pua in search of the demigod Maui.
